A day in the Life of a Kitty Rescuer
Let me walk you through a feeding: the alarm goes off, you get the bottle out of the fridge and warm it up. Go over to the babies, pull out one baby get him settled in get the bottle in his mouth make sure that he's got enough to eat. You then clean up his little face, potty his little butt, put him back in the container and pull out one of his siblings. This continues for all four babies, then you put your bottle back in the fridge, set your alarm for 2 hours and go back to bed for. This routine is 24/7 - they are being weighed twice a day. Most days are 1 p.m. 3:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. - you get the drift. It would be very easy to sleep through an alarm, except that you know that you have four babies that if you don't get up, they don't eat. This is the most intense care for these little ones, most babies do not take this much work. I will be thankful when they are on a 3-hour schedule, it will feel like a little bit of Heaven

Mary Dionne, a recognized name in the community for rescuing newborn kittens has created Mary’s MEOW Rescue.
Mary’s Expert Orphaned-kittens of Washington Rescue, or Mary’s MEOW, insists on providing every orphaned newborn kitten a safe, warm and experienced place to recover, thrive, and grow.
Focused on rescuing the smallest of kittens, orphaned for whatever reasons, we will only rescue kittens under 4 weeks old, or kittens without teeth. These are kittens needing bottle feeding and experienced, specialized care. The founders of Mary’s MEOW Rescue have over 35 years of combined experience with newborn kittens.
Our priority remains to protect whatever is for the best of the kittens. We strive to place our kittens in a forever home as soon as possible, working with the new family to ensure complete success for both the kitten, and the family.

Founder
Mary has worked rescuing newborn kittens in the Tri-Cities community since 1997. She is known for her willingness to take on the itty-bitty kittens in an effort to prevent euthanasia. Her passion and her dedication to each and everyone of these precious lives is nothing short of inspirational.
LINN SERVEN
Co-Founder
Linn has worked with Mary rescuing kittens since 2017. With a business background, she enjoys the combination of the business side of the rescue along with bottle-feeding. She and her husband, Tim, enjoy fostering a houseful of kittens!
